Badgers Class

Badgers have had a great Autumn term learning about the Roaming Romans. We have written Non chronological reports about them, enjoyed learning about where the Romans invaded and what impact they had  on the UK. In Art & DT, we have designed Roman mosaics and made Roman Forts..For English, we have enjoyed the What a Waste book and learnt some excellent things about our environment and what we can do to be more environmentally friendly. We wrote excellent letters to complain to the DfE about shortening our summer holidays and even wrote some beautiful historical  narratives.We are now enjoying The girl who stole an elephant text. In Maths, we have learnt to multiply and divide and we have secured our methods for our four operations and are trying hard to work on our problem solving and reasoning skills. In RE, we have learned to understand why Muslims view Mohammad as their prophet and why the Mosque is an important place for them.
 
Next term, we are looking forward to learning about the Terrible Tudors. We will be making and painting clay Tudor Rose and drawing and recreating portraits  of Henry 8th (Hans Holbein).We may even be going to the Tower of London too! In science, we will learn the functions of the digestive system and identify different teeth and their functions. In English, we will read The Boy in the back of the class and Vajak Paw and produce  first and third person narratives, non chronological reports, advanced instructional writing and poetry. In Maths, we will learn about  measurement, statistics, fractions and decimals and in RE, we will learn how does the story of Rama and Sita inspires Hindus to follow their Dharma?. Another great start in the new year for excellent learning for Badgers!
