Red Deer are enjoying learning about the Anglo-Saxons and the Vikings.
We kicked started our topic with an amazing trip to Sutton Hoo where the children were able to explore artefacts from the Royal Burial Ground.
We have since looked at where the Vikings came from and how they invaded England. We have explored how the country went from having 7 kings to 3 main areas of rule.
We have also been learning about electricity and building circuits. We will be using our learning for our DT project to build Doodlers.
In English the children have worked hard on their writing this term by writing a retelling of Beowul's tale using first person dialogue. They worked on their descriptive skills to describe Grendell and balancing dialogue with narrative in a story.
