This summer term, Red Deer will be exploring the fascinating continent of South America.
In geography, we will study its location and consider how this affects climate, as well as investigating the continent’s diverse physical and human features and the range of biomes found across South America.
In science, our learning will focus on Animals, including Humans, where we will explore the life cycles of a variety of animals and compare how different species grow and develop.
In reading, we will be enjoying The Explorer, using the text to develop comprehension skills through VIPERS questions and thoughtful discussions about the characters’ feelings, actions and motivations.
In maths, we will be focusing on shape, with children developing their understanding of angles by measuring, identifying and classifying them.
In PE, children will take part in gymnastics on Mondays and cricket on Fridays with our PE coach, continuing to build strength, coordination and teamwork skills.
