Red Deer Class

This half term Red Deer have been learning about the suffragettes and how local figures were involved in the movement. We had a great trip to Ancient House to kick start our topic. Children learnt the difference between suffragettes and suffragists, made campaigning badges and handled objects to discover their link to the cause.

 

In art, we have been exploring different collage techniques and how they change an image depending on the technique you choose. The children will be creating portraits of Catherine Duleep Singh using the skills they have learnt.

 

In Science we have been experimenting with light and how we see. This week we discovered how light travels at different speeds through materials therefore leading to refraction.
