The Role
Role Overview:
As a Teaching Assistant, you will play an essential role in providing support to teachers and helping pupils thrive academically, emotionally, and socially. You will work with small groups and individual students, assist in lesson preparation, and support children with a range of learning needs. Your contribution will be key in ensuring a positive learning experience for all our students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in delivering high-quality learning experiences for children.

  • Provide one-to-one support and work with small groups of students.

  • Help manage classroom behavior, ensuring a safe and positive learning environment.

  • Support students with varying educational needs and provide appropriate interventions.

  • Work closely with the class teacher to prepare learning resources and support lesson planning.

  • Monitor and assess pupils' progress, keeping accurate records.

  • Foster positive relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues.

  • Contribute to the wider school community, including supporting extra-curricular activities.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Experience working with children in a school or childcare setting is desirable, but not essential.

  • Level 2 Teaching Assistant Qualification desirable

  • A passion for working with children and a commitment to supporting their learning and development.

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.

  • Patience, flexibility, and creativity.

  • An understanding of child development and special educational needs (desirable).

  • A willingness to embrace the ethos of a Church of England school.
